Selamat Hari Raya !!!
Today's already the 2nd day of raya...and not yet feeling up to the challenge of doing my thesis, here i am telling my raya tale.
The pic above was taken the night before raya during the blackout. Nope you din read it wrong. We had a blackout a few minutes before the clock struck midnite. Can you believe that! and it lasted for quite some time too (make that 1 and a half hours).

Oh did i forget to mention that we were busy (oh crap...i should reli say "my mom and sis") baking the cookies in the oven that very night? Luckily the blackout happened after the last batch was taken out of the oven. Since internet surfing was out of the question, i took out my camera, along with my newly bought 50mm and remote! Cookies have never looked this good in the dark.XD.
Too hot to sleep. But high from all the cookie tasting~!Here's one shot of my 'emo-sis'...nyahahaha....

Who says you can't take photos and also be in it? I wanted a piece of the action and so, set the camera to 'bulb' and joined my sis camwhoring.wheeee.....
The candle brings much joy. Be it posed or not.And then...came the morning of Raya....which meant more fooooooooooooooooddd....
Chicken, Ketupat, sambal kacang, lodeh, .........emmmm...and more cam-whoring...
The 'sisters' shot. Of me and sis. And of mom and her sis. This marks the first raya that our family celebrates without the presence of my younger bratty, annoying sister~! oh well, like my dad put it, we will be collecting the wons for you dear sis. That's IF they offer lah~! hahahhaa...
Now..you might ask "who could this be?" I just loved her surprised look the moment my flash fired while she was cutting the ketupat. A friendly lady, she's been the aid of my relative's family for more than a decade now. Personally, i can't imagine any occasion where she's not there helping out. That says something.
And now, on to the cousins...Why these two of the many many cousins? Simple.
Cos they're both waaay younger than my sisters and i...yet they're also waaay taller than us!
What are kids these days being fed i wonder~!hahha..
The first visitors to our home this raya. My relatives from dad's side. Introducing the different sets of 'Raja's.....Cam-whoring runs deep in the blood of the Raja Clan...exhibit A :
Exhibit B : My sister now holds the responsibility of giving the duit raya away. Oh no no noo....the money still comes from my mom....she's just the 'face' of money for the family...hehehe.
Exhibit C: My sister and our cousin who in more ways than one, is similar to my younger sis. ahaha...she's so gonna bash me for that comment. judge for yourself! XD

After maghrib, the whole family rushed to my relatives on my mom's side's houses..
Mom din wan to join us for the cam-whoring session at the grand-aunt's house... oh well...Anyway, at my cousin's home most of the other relatives were there....
Meet the girls of Jalan Nova. These kids re-define the term cam-whoring to a whole new level...

The lil girl on the bottom left, don't let her looks deceive you. Quoting her , "I want to be a doctor AND photographer". I don't know how successful she is on that path to being a doctor...but...from what i saw yesterday, she's really into the whole posing and photographing at the same time! Give the girl a tripod and a compact camera...and be amazed! hhahaha... She's the director AND the star.
In for some action? my sis...and cousin...loving my 50 mm! aww....
Following in the footsteps of the young ones...the tripod was readied for more shots. We so did not spend any time listening in to the chit chats which were goin on inside. I'm still a kid at heart.

Haha...the grass is sooooo clean....or we just made our minds believe that fact.
And the last shot of the day....backed by a blank blue wall....i present you ..

"Gadis Melayu Terakhir" Hah~!
p/s: Enjoy your time people...but pls....remind me i have work to do...hahahhaahha...
