I guess one could call me a serial traveller (or in a conversation with the inn-keeper in Brisbane, the term used was 'professional tourist'). I work. then i take time off. Repeat cycle.
At first the decision to do the whole melbourne-brisbane-gold coast 7 day hop was so that i won't have anything to regret if i do decide to move back home for good.
The trip itself was an interesting one (a lil bit of drama here and there) and not to mention filled with lotsa fooood. cos you know how cranky a girl can get when she has to travel on an empty stomach :P
This time around, i used instagram sooo much, that my dslr was becoming more like dead weight. Maybe it's cos i promised a friend i'd do some research on how the places are like that i ended up with the urge to 'snap' everything i saw.
One of the highlights of the trip (besides the beautiful city) is this spot in the CBD called 'Infinity'.
You enter this dark maze, which is divided into many many rooms...all of which were visually stimulating in its own. With one room making you feel like you're part of a circuitry board (imagine tron legacy), one room filled with bouncing balls and stroboscopic lights...and a 'mystery' room which forced you to walk through in total darkness, touching things hanging or protruding from the walls and ceilings (that brought out the scaredycat side of me in seconds!), it was an amazing experience. If i wasn't there with a friend, i may have just given up when it came to the part where we had to push ourselves through this inflatable wall. I've always branded myself a claustrophobic. So i'm proud i made it out hahaha.
Our souvenir photo. White gloves and white shoe-covers that everyone had to wear to be seen inside 'infinity'. but then again, you dont have to worry about getting lost. Just smile, and your teeth will be seen anyway ;)
