We call ourselves "The Makara Ten"
Travelling to various cities in Asia with Japan and China being the focus is what we as a group have been working on since before semester 1 ,2008/2009 even ended.
"Ten" as we are the 10 who've been blessed with the chance to see things for ourselves come May 2009. But also with it comes the burden of making up the rest of the expenses.
So ....should we not work together and make this trip a success?
Working in a group makes me realize certain things:
Everyone has their quirks. As group members, we have to learn to adapt and deal with each and every one of these quirks.
However, attempts have to also be made to suit everyone's needs. There is no "I" in "group".
Agreements were signed. We set to understand each other and each others' task.
Still at the initial stages, we do hope that by the end of april, we will be fully prepared for the month long travelling.
Some of the most interesting aspects of architecture awaits us at Kyoto, Tokyo , Beijing so on....yet ....financial matters won't be so easy to tackle.
Well...like they always say..."nothing good ever comes easy" and i agree.
But trust me. I never will appreciate those who expect me to serve everything to them on a silver platter.
Respect is earned, never given. Put these words to heart....and persevere we shall!
Go go! Don't look back...
