To err is human.
But to apologize after shouldn't be beneath anyone.
Being patient is hard.
But if it means being trodden all over after,
I'd rather not be.
For now, just breathe...

oh, monday already?
Ah well....if all else fails....on a seemingly unproductive sunday...
at least i got 5 new followers on tumblr?
and i don't know why they did that.
As infrequent as i blog. i reckon in time the tumblr account won't be any different.
haha.
if only jobs were easier to find. sigh.

consider this.
so tell me.
can i get back that time spent?
people change their minds,
like they change their clothes.
in the end, nothing's certain.
to survive in this world, you need people.
but why live, when each day,
you die a little bit inside.
my, is the tunnel long.
where is that light?!

Life goes on
Is a 'Hi, how're you?' too much to ask for?
Maybe we never really knew each other afterall.

putting myself out there.
i really hope.
for everyone's sake. and especially for my sanity.
that today goes well.

better than nothing.
Tell me i'm not the only one doing this:
Watching Coachella live-streaming (on-mute) while listening to other music.
just cos i'm waiting for a particular act.
Oh. I guess i'll miss these days of being random. heh.
Not bad for a gloomy melbourne evening/weekend i say! :)
Countdown : T-60 hours.

A view to die for.
Literally.
Bored out of my wits.
I could die.
Bring on next week!
Scared? yes.
But surely anything'll beat just waiting around.

__________
I killed facebook.
just cos it was killing me.
slowly but surely.
Not that there'll be many who will come looking.
But to those who do,
It's not that hard to remain in contact.
And i look forward to 'seeing' you outside of fb.
Now time for some peace and quiet.
Before i begin my new adventure.

More things to occupy me. Yay!
Gee whiz, it's my 100th post!
So yeah. I've decided to give tumblr a go.
Look me up!

The hermit strikes!
Happy Easter!
Though there are no chocolate bunnies for me. or bunnies for that matter,
supposedly today, i had a game plan. i was gonna learn something new.
you know, to give my skill set a much needed boost.
What I did?
Fiddled around with the tumblr account (yes, am a noob)
Became all philosophical with a photograph captured over a month ago.
Decided to photoshop paint a tree (no idea why. autumn's in the air, though a bit late)
Made an animatd gif of the sister on her graduation day.
And now? blogging bout how unproductive my 'supposed-productive' day is.
Since i've done pretty much everything else except for the one thing i intended to do,
maybe i'll finally get started on it tomorrow.
or MAYBE, i'll just draw something tomorrow instead!
ergh. i need motivation. or a kick.

Time to just do it.

I've always been a known klutz.
So when it comes to taking photos, if i think there's a risk of dropping the camera, or getting it wet, more likely than not, i'd refrain from taking it out. We're talking about a whole lot of missed moments/opportunities.
That is why i got myself a tough compact right before pushing off on my Korea vacation.
Having a compact camera around, not having to care (which setting for which condition is most optimal) gives me the freedom to just snap things.
All unedited. all random stuff. Yeah. i think i'm gonna try to do this more. At least for blogging purposes :P
Pictured above :
another 'test' of the panorama feature of my new toy at this evening's BIG LAUGH OUT event in Melbourne. i'll prolly start a whole series on it, since i've recently been quite obsessed with making panos of every.single. thing.
Pictured below :
Testing out how much i can actually put in (and that includes myself of course)
I initially planned to use the camera for spontaneous videos. but . we'll see how things go.
It's time to document. Without worrying too much about unnecessary things.

After blood, came rain.
Third day living out of a suitcase here in melbourne.
And all i've seen of the world's most livable city this time around...
is the Coles supermarket to get the daily necessities.
That. and i've been hanging out by the balcony people-watching while listening to city sounds.
Bored? maybe.
and so since today's also the only day off from uni for the cousin,
plans were made to have a day out about town.
But my stomach kept on getting upset.
So I didn't push for the outing. not unless the cousin said something about it.
Then came 4pm.
and the update on Facebook.
on how 3 pedestrians were killed in a freak accident involving a collapsed wall and really strong winds!
and i let out a huge sigh of relief.
People have told me to go out countless times yesterday.
I may not be walking at the exact same spot had i ventured out,
nor would i have suffered the same fate as the unfortunate pedestrians.
But deep down, i still feel thankful.
Because we waited for the rain to come before we headed out.
And the rain did not come,
till after the news of the freak accident.
A short spell of rain, the sky is once again clear.
I still believe there's a reason for everything.
and that's why, when a friend lamented on the difficulty of saying goodbye,
i replied," but it'd be harder if you didn't say goodbye, and you never get the chance to do it ever".
maybe i'm thinking too much?

so that there shall be no regrets.
i fly off again in a week.
take care peeps.

Infinity!
I guess one could call me a serial traveller (or in a conversation with the inn-keeper in Brisbane, the term used was 'professional tourist'). I work. then i take time off. Repeat cycle.
At first the decision to do the whole melbourne-brisbane-gold coast 7 day hop was so that i won't have anything to regret if i do decide to move back home for good.
The trip itself was an interesting one (a lil bit of drama here and there) and not to mention filled with lotsa fooood. cos you know how cranky a girl can get when she has to travel on an empty stomach :P
This time around, i used instagram sooo much, that my dslr was becoming more like dead weight. Maybe it's cos i promised a friend i'd do some research on how the places are like that i ended up with the urge to 'snap' everything i saw.
One of the highlights of the trip (besides the beautiful city) is this spot in the CBD called 'Infinity'.
You enter this dark maze, which is divided into many many rooms...all of which were visually stimulating in its own. With one room making you feel like you're part of a circuitry board (imagine tron legacy), one room filled with bouncing balls and stroboscopic lights...and a 'mystery' room which forced you to walk through in total darkness, touching things hanging or protruding from the walls and ceilings (that brought out the scaredycat side of me in seconds!), it was an amazing experience. If i wasn't there with a friend, i may have just given up when it came to the part where we had to push ourselves through this inflatable wall. I've always branded myself a claustrophobic. So i'm proud i made it out hahaha.
Our souvenir photo. White gloves and white shoe-covers that everyone had to wear to be seen inside 'infinity'. but then again, you dont have to worry about getting lost. Just smile, and your teeth will be seen anyway ;)

whatever it is. i feel happy.
A friend got hold of a keyboard/synthesizer. I was just happily banging away at it. Little things make me happy. and of course. the perfect sunny evening. It doesn't even matter if this video annoys anyone right now. Cos finally i managed to just enjoy the moment, not worrying about everything else.

Sigh.
Went for coffee with a friend as promised. and we headed straight to gravelly beach right after. i think i don't like the idea of meeting up with people anymore as i enter my last week in tassie.
We talked. laughed. but the moment i reached my doorstep. i felt sad all over again.
Maybe being antisocial is the best. sigh.

Last BBQ in tassie...perhaps?
And so the decision has been made.
to leave Tassie; the little island I call home for almost 3 years now.
Getting closer to the launceston community, especially as i'm about to pack everything into boxes and decide my next move in life, is pretty overwhelming.
I will definitely miss all the little things.
It has been a slow process of letting people know about my decision. and an even harder process to say goodbye to the many people that have become like family.
There are definitely things i would rather be left forgotten.
But all the good memories, the friendship forged....are well worth it.
Tassie. Give me all you've got!

'stole' the shots from Julia's (the host) camera and stitched them
Less than a month now. Tassie. Give me all you've got!
