After blood, came rain.
Third day living out of a suitcase here in melbourne.
And all i've seen of the world's most livable city this time around...
is the Coles supermarket to get the daily necessities.
That. and i've been hanging out by the balcony people-watching while listening to city sounds.
Bored? maybe.
and so since today's also the only day off from uni for the cousin,
plans were made to have a day out about town.
But my stomach kept on getting upset.
So I didn't push for the outing. not unless the cousin said something about it.
Then came 4pm.
and the update on Facebook.
on how 3 pedestrians were killed in a freak accident involving a collapsed wall and really strong winds!
and i let out a huge sigh of relief.
People have told me to go out countless times yesterday.
I may not be walking at the exact same spot had i ventured out,
nor would i have suffered the same fate as the unfortunate pedestrians.
But deep down, i still feel thankful.
Because we waited for the rain to come before we headed out.
And the rain did not come,
till after the news of the freak accident.
A short spell of rain, the sky is once again clear.
I still believe there's a reason for everything.
and that's why, when a friend lamented on the difficulty of saying goodbye,
i replied," but it'd be harder if you didn't say goodbye, and you never get the chance to do it ever".
maybe i'm thinking too much?
